I phoned my Mom last night from clunky old phone attached to our laptop in the lobby of the hotel down the street. I decided I didn't care if I cried in the lobby, I needed to talk to my Mom! Anyway, it sure was nice to talk to her and it did wonders for my spirits - Thanks Mom! I even held it together in the lobby! Something I did not do at the park yesterday morning while Eric and I were trying to do a crossfit type workout. I decided to have one of my pity parties in the park -- poor Eric!
Went to a newcomers coffee this morning at AIS. The school is very nice and welcoming which is a nice thing. I have chit chatted with a few people. Of course I talked to the PTO person who is in charge of room mother coordination... :) - I asked to help in both the kids classes. Surprised, White Bluffs friends? hee hee That should be fun.
Yesterday we went to the Schonbrun Palace grounds. It is where the zoo is located but there is also the palace grounds, great playground, beautiful grounds in general. It was so beautiful and we didn't even go 'in' anything yet. We were all amazed and had a great day. We can't wait to take visitors to all of these places.
I am going to head to the grocery now with my rolley bag :)--- if you could see me now. (I'll take a picture soon!)
Jenn- so funny you mention the rolley bag. I just saw one in the new Crate & Barrel catalog and said: "I need to get one of those for Jenn!" :) I can't wait to see pics of you rolling your groceries home!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you're getting plugged in at the school. That will be great for all of you and AIS will soon wonder what they ever did without your help! White Bluffs is certainly going to miss you! You're a rock-star!
We start school tomorrow. I will be trying to hold it together as Katie gets on the bus for middle school. I can't believe she is in 6th grade!
Is Eric liking his job?
Thinking of you and miss you all!! XOXO
Rock Star Jenn -
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to that photo, too!!! I'm glad you've been meeting some people and that the kids are making friends. I am sure that things will get nothing but easier as time goes on. Soon you'll find your routine and before you know it, summer will be here and you'll be entertaining all of your visitors! That will be so much fun!! You'll be an expert by then (or at least way better off in the knowing your way about town than your friends from the states!)
Andrew headed off to RHS today for freshman-only day. I can't believe it! Aidan goes to middle school tomorrow with Katie! No more elementary...a strange feeling.
Thanks for the updates!!! We love hearing about your adventures and will keep you in our prayers.

Hi! Glad to hear that school is good and it sounds like you are getting plugged in right away which is great. We had the WB BBQ and it was missing one great family. The AIS PTO will be so lucky to have you there.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what the heck I'm gonna do with my time now that the boys are in school and Cameron is sleeping. My house is never this quiet. I now have no excuse not to exercise :(
We are looking forward to when you have internet so we can talk to you.
Hang in there!
